How to appreciate artisan incense
Prepare. Use a suitable holder and ash dish on a heat-resistant surface in a ventilated room.
Light. Light the tip, then extinguish the flame. Keep away from flammable objects and never leave it unattended.
Notice. Let the fragrance reach you from a distance; do not inhale smoke directly. Follow the opening, the developing layers and the lingering scent.
Pause. Ensure there is fresh air between different fragrances. If you are tasting it with tea, you can either light an agarwood incense at the beginning to tune the space and incorporate it into the tea tasting, or light it afterwards to enhance the transition from the tea experience to the broader atmosphere.
