I've been buying tea from YUMM CHA for quite a while, and what keeps bringing me back is that there always seems to be something special to discover. An award-winning Dan Cong, an aged Dong Ding, an unusual cultivar or simply a tea with a story behind it. Their selection never feels generic. I recently joined one of their tea tastings and finally got to meet macey and lionel in person. I honestly couldn't think of nicer people to share tea with. Their passion for tea is genuine, and it shows in everything they do. Beautiful teas, wonderful people, and always something new to discover.

For anyone who treats tea not just as a daily brew, but as a space for meditation, flavor profiling, and exploring history, Yumm Cha is an exceptional destination. This shop stands out in the market not only for its meticulously curated selection of fresh and medium-aged teas, but above all for its access to genuine archival gems that are virtually impossible to find through mass distributors.

A genuine, unique contemporary Yixing teapot in the literati tradition, made from light-coloured Duan Ni clay and featuring an engraved depiction of a bird under gourd vines, complemented by calligraphic inscription. I will take great pleasure in using it. Thanks to the Yumm Cha team for their expertise and their refined artistic and functional taste.

Luxury experience, this is what it should feel like buying from a top class tea shop. The teas surprised me with quality, teapot is pristine and the incense stick opened a brand new world of sent appreciation.

The tea tasting was personable and insightful. Lionel and Macey were kind, knowledgeable, and welcoming. Their adorable cats really made the atmosphere calm, relaxing, and grounding. I loved learning about the origin of Gong Fu Cha and exploring different tea profiles from Taiwan and China. I was especially drawn to the sweet, light, fragrant notes of the Ruby white tea. If you’re a tea enthusiast, you’ll appreciate this experience and leave feeling revitalised. Thank you, Lionel and Macey for such a warm, thoughtful tasting.
Excellent flavor I love the strong roasted taste but it’s so interesting to see the taste notes on the website. This is definitely a sweeter tasting tea but to me it also has hints of buttery cookies in the beginning when I drink in gong fu style which I love (must say switching up the tea vessel can result in enhancement or emphasis of certain prominent aroma/flavor notes in the tea). The Chin shin cultivar is an absolute favorite for so many teas. This is a lovely tea and it’s great if you like stronger tasting teas like wuyi/mineral rich teas. I don’t drink black teas that often purely because of teeth staining but with the darker oolongs I just can’t resist! I had to reorder more asap when I saw my stack dwindling. Yumm-cha offers excellent quality tea which are most enjoyable. I truly believe there is a beautiful tea to enjoy for everyone. Try them all and discover your favorite! Once you do you can’t go without. Drinking tea is your special moment why not share it with just that special tea! Anyway can not recommend enough just a lovely tea. Thank you!
Excellent quality! It’s super easy and comfortable to use. The wide mouth of the cup allows you to hold the gaiwan even when it’s hot! Also, because it’s so lightweight, you can easily lift it. The gaiwan is especially good for light oolongs or dancongs and it serves the three cups perfectly. Highly recommend even for beginners!
Thank you for the chance to try these unique teas. From the smell of the dry leaves to the taste of the tea itself, and even the fragrance left in the empty cup - each one had so much depth and smoothness. They gave off such a calm, relaxing energy. I loved those Dancong from the old bushes. Such a great experience all around!
Really enjoyed the Dancong tea tasting at the tea festival in Prague! Macey shared a lot of her knowledge about these very special teas and there was time to really taste. I know that the limited time is always a thing but I honestly could have stayed for hours!
A fragrant and light dancong oolong with pronounced floral notes and gentle sweetness. The taste is clean and balanced, with a soft texture and a pleasant aftertaste. Well suited for relaxed tea sessions and those who appreciate refined aromas.
Absolutely gorgeous oolong, warm, floral, and beautifully balanced. It leaves a lingering, elegant aftertaste with a strong aroma reminiscent of lily of the valley and lilac. Truly one of the most exquisite oolongs I’ve ever tasted.
Sweet and easy to drink while keeping you on your toes with more complex notes lingering in the background. Interesting as well to push water temperature a little higher if you want to put characteristics of TTES 18 more forward!
Wonderfully fragrant oolong that manages to be light on the palate but also full and warming on these cold, crisp December mornings. Second and third steepings are particularly delicious.
Gorgeous vintage Yixing! I love that it is slightly bigger in size and perfect for hosting a bigger group of tea lovers. The straw hat lid is making me so happy 😃
A tea full of life! Very pleasant and fresh notes are giving this tea its main character. Easy to drink and a nice silky texture, great price quality ratio!
So rich, so floral, so creamy! My Favourite of all Shan Lin Xi oolongs!
Very unusual. Just try!
It was a lovely workshop my friend and I really enjoyed it. You took time to explain and show two types of working with incense. Also you took time the have a talk with us. Will follow a workshop again next time
Love this incense! I've chosen the thinner sticks and they are great for my living room, just subtly influencing the atmosphere of the room... Wanted to immediately burn a second stick:D\nComing back to this incense and Dharma Joy for my mindful tea moments. It really helps to switch to another mode after a busy day.\nIt smells subtle and slightly sweet, with the traditional woodiness I associate with Sandalwood. It feels more \"quiet\" compared to other incense I have. Love it!
A few weeks ago I had the great pleasure to attend the early spring tea ceremony hosted by yumm-cha. The tea was some of the best I've ever had, the calligraphy and setup were beautiful and the guqin performance added a lot of depth to the whole experience. Also the presentation and interaction with the attendees was very informative and went very smoothly. The hosts were great and their pouring technique was great too!
I really enjoyed this Mid-Autumn Festival event — it was beautifully organized and full of warm, welcoming energy. The tea was truly excellent, especially the oolongs, and it was a real pleasure to share this moment with other tea lovers who are just as passionate as I am. The combination of tea, music, and calligraphy created a wonderful cultural experience that felt both relaxing and inspiring.
I love drinking this tea on Summer afternoons - it is incredibly refreshing and it keeps on giving for so many infusions. It's light and inviting but also has more than enough depth keep me coming back for more. This is the second time I've ordered it and hopefully there'll be some left so I can order it a third time...
What a lovely tea tasting experience! It was a real delight. \nIt’s an excellent opportunity for both tea enthusiasts and beginners eager to discover and learn about Taiwanese tea. Your lovely hosts Lionel and Macey will take you on a sensory journey while tasting 4 of their quality teas from Taiwan. Highly recommended!
Honestly, this was one of the best tea tasting experiences I have had. I was truly transported to a different world and became completely grounded. Not only because of the unique tea itself, but through Macy's ritual, guidance, the space and the people around.
I bought this tea based on a recomandation, because I didn't have time to taste it before at the Prague Tea Festival. Than I took the first occasion to sit with this tea, and I realized why it's called the garden of God.\nThank you very much!
This level of roast is just at the edge of my liking. But it is so well executed and fits with the tea, that i really fell in love with it. I surely will store a bit of it away to see how a longer resting period will affect the tea.
I didn't really know what to expect from this Oolong... Such finesse on the palate, deceptively simple at first, slowly revealing its charms, like an innocent young girl. \nAnother must-buy from Yumm-Cha!
Juicy, very good combination of fruits and flowers, but never overwhelming, it's really equilibrated, clean and delicate aftertaste. Very aromatic as well, with a mix of orchid, a pinch of lilac, and kinda tropical fruits with sugar.
