    • This petite teapot is a contemproary handmade piece by the skilled Yixing folk potter Xiong Juping (熊菊平).  The stamps of the potter can be seen on both the lid (marked with "Xiong" and "Juping") and the base ("Made by Xiong Juping").

Crafted from Zhu Ni (朱泥) mixed with some clay with larger particles, the material offers a warm tone with natural touch. While not premium Zhu Ni or aged clay, the teapot's charm lies in its elegant proportions and clever design. The lid is topped with a hollowed scepter-style finial — a rare and playful detail that gives the simple body a touch of visual delight.

Lightweight, compact, and with a smooth pour, this teapot is ideal for everyday tea drinkers or as a starter pot for new tea lovers. It performs especially well with fragrant and aromatic teas such as light roasted Taiwanese high mountain Oolongs, Phoenix Dancong or even Wuyi Rock tea.

Overall, this is a delightful and functional little pot that balances everyday usability with handmade personality and servers as a great addition for those who value both form and function.
