The oval seal was used selectively by Factory 1 artisans in the late 80s and early 90s for export-oriented teapots. Its usage was tied to official designations for overseas markets, helping to authenticate factory-made Zisha ware during a period when the factory was transitioning from a centrally planned production model to a more diversified, semi-commercial model. Teapots bearing this seal often adhered strictly to factory form standards, making them sought after for their consistency and craft precision.

Crafted from Hongni, a clay known for its excellent porosity and ability to accentuate aromatics, this pot is especially suitable for:
